Ann Windchy
Hoosier by birth, Louisvillian for the last 55 years, I attended the U. of Louisville where I earned a Bachelor of Science in Commerce and an MBA. I later returned to U of L to earn a DMD degree and a specialty in Prosthodontics. Teaching Prosthodontics and practicing dentistry were my primary responsibilities at the U. of Louisville School of Dentistry for 35 years before retiring.
Art is a relatively new experience for me, since I only discovered it after I retired. I attended Art classes on Oil and Acrylic at Preston Art Center. Art stimulates my creative brain, connects me to nature, relaxes me and provides a rewarding feeling of accomplishment. A love of animals and nature has been the subject of most of my art. I paint with both oils and acrylics, and I am still experimenting with materials and technique. My art has been displayed and sold at the Louisville Visitor Center, the U of Louisville, the Woman’s Club of Louisville, the AC Hotel by Marriott in conjunction with Louisville Visual Arts and various area galleries. See more of my work at awindchyart.com.
